Allen has been a designing golf courses for over 18 years, and has worked on a wide variety of different project types. From golf course remodeling, to new course design, to reclaiming land for golf space — Allen always applies his wide range of skill and talent in conjunction with his dedication to the craft.
Having grown up with the sport of golf and playing to a single digit handicap, Allen has keen eye for golf design. He received an engineering degree from Michigan State University and has many years of hands on construction experience. Allen’s technical knowledge is stellar, which proves exceptionally valuable when dealing with the complex issues involved in contemporary golf architecture.
Prior to joining Albanese & Lutzke, Allen worked for Michigan architects Jerry Matthews and Ray Hearn. While working in their offices, he played a key role in the design of many highly recognized projects, and developed a palette of unique and creative techniques by which to visualize the final product prior to it actually being constructed.
Allen shares the Albanese & Lutzke passion for creating golf space and understands that an unyielding effort toward our clients and a sincere appreciation for the design process is the key to a successful project.
